In 1956 Zhangan Shipping Company was set up which was the predecessor of Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipping Ltd., this indicated that MLSC went into the shipping industry.
In 2000 Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipping Ltd. was founded by restructuring of Zhangan Shipping Ltd., meanwhile, MLSC began to involve in the shipbuilding industry.
In 2002 along with the development of Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipping Ltd., Taizhou Jiaojiang Maple Leaf Shipping Ltd. and Maple Leaf Shipping (Hong Kong) Limited were established.
In 2004 Maple Leaf Shipping developed and grew stronger rapidly, it owned 27 units of vessels (including bulk carriers,oil tankers, container vessels, ).
In 2005 MLSC requisitioned 350 mu in Yongquan Linhai as the shipbuilding base, at the same time MLSC requisitioned 48 mu for preparing to construct the factory to produce marine matching products.
In 2006 Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. was established. In this year MLSC successfully built and delivered one 12600 DWT oil tanker, which caused a sensation throughout the domestic shipbuilding circles and paid tax for more than RMB 10 million.
In 2007 Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. received export orders of 19 units of vessels and the deadweight came to 518,000 tons. In this year, MLSC paid tax for more than RMB 30 million.
In August 2008 Accessories Tools Factory of MLSC --Taizhou Yezhi Machinery Co., Ltd. was formally established and put into operation.
In December 2008 the annual value of production of MLSC came to RMB 1.5 billion. In this year MLSC paid tax for more than RMB 60 million, which ranked number five in all the enterprises of the city.
In 2009 Taizhou Maple Leaf shipbuilding Co., Ltd. made annual value of production RMB 1.6 billion and created tax more than RMB 80 million. |
